The Role
An opportunity has become available for a Team Leader (Mental Health - Access) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Provide efficient and responsive mental health care, utilising advanced level of knowledge, and skills in the area of clinical practice
- Develop a dynamic, flexible, resilient and skilled workforce
- Coordinate, formulate and direct policies relating to the provision of mental health care or disciplinary specific specialty services which includes integration of consumer care across the continuum of care
- Lead the integration of the key objectives from the Strategic/Operational plans into service delivery

About you

**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- A tertiary degree in Occupational Therapy, Psychology Social Work or Speech Pathology
- AHPRA Registration (Occupational Therapist/Psychologist only)
- Driver Licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough) and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Temporary full time (12 months with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $140 767 - $146 883 per annum

The Child and Youth Mental Health Access Team is a community based service for children and young people aged 0-18 years and their families in the Gold Coast region who are experiencing severe/complex psychological, emotional and/or behavioural problems. Prevention and early intervention strategies are important in interrupting the development of severe mental health problems and disorders in childhood. Based in Robina.
