The role:

We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our dedicated team. This role reports to the Directors and is key to contribute to the growth and success of S.A.L. Global Logistics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the effective functioning of our logistics operations, ensuring shipments are delivered timely and accurately.
  • Ensure operational processes are completed: documentation, transport/cartage, unpacks, warehousing.
  • Ensure efficient and effective communication with service providers and customers.
  • Manage and negotiate third party contracts.
  • Ensure compliance: Australian Customs, Quarantine, and Border Clearance requirements.
  • Streamline processes, optimise resources, and implement best practices to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment where every team member feels valued and empowered to contribute their best.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of inspiring and motivating teams.
  • Strategic mindset with the ability to drive operational success and continuous improvement.
  • Extensive experience across imports, exports, airfreight, and sea freight.
  • Strong operational knowledge of Australian Customs, Quarantine, and Border Clearance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve conflicts.
  • Experience with CargoWise One.
