At David Kennedy & Associates we pride ourselves on our knowledge and dedication to legal and industrial issues that affect workers.

We have a keen interest in disciplinary and employment matters, industrial disputes, injury management (including workers compensation), discrimination, administrative law, appeals, and litigation. We aim to assist with all types of issues that arise in the course of employment.

We regularly appear in criminal and civil proceedings, in State and Federal jurisdictions within the Sydney metropolitan area and across NSW.

As a Junior Lawyer In Our Team, You Will Work Closely With Our Passionate And Highly Skilled Team, Gaining Hands-on Experience Across a Diverse Range Of Employment, Industrial Law And Workers Compensation Matters. Your Work Will Include

  • Assisting the Principal Solicitor with drafting legal documents and correspondence;
  • Participating in meetings with clients, obtaining instructions and providing advice; and
  • Appearing before the Court (including the Industrial Court, Industrial Relations Commission, Personal Injury Commission) where required.

You will play an integral part in delivering high-quality legal services to our clients.

Our office is located on York Street in Sydney; you will be required to work in the office and appear in Court when necessary. We are flexible to work from home arrangements.

About You
You are a highly motivated Lawyer who can show initiative, prioritise tasks and maintain a high level of attention to detail. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Experience in the abovementioned areas of law is not essential but is desirable.

Essential to the role is: -

  • A Bachelor's degree in Law and a current practicing certificate (or, due to be admitted soon); and
  • A NSW Driver's License.
