About the Role

We're looking for a motivated and ambitious Junior Lawyer (1–2 years PQE) to join my clients growing team in Sydney. This role offers an excellent opportunity to build expertise in financial services, derivatives, and related legal documentation (including ISDAs and other trading agreements). You'll work closely with senior lawyers and clients across leading global financial institutions, gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support senior lawyers on a range of financial services and trading documentation matters.
  • Assist with reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial and financial agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and provide analysis on regulatory and contractual issues.
  • Manage workflow efficiently with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Contribute to team initiatives, knowledge sharing, and process improvements.

About You:

  • 1–2 years PQE as an Australian-qualified lawyer.
  • Ideally trained at a top-tier or mid-tier law firm, with a solid grounding in commercial or financial law.
  • Strong academic record with excellent written and analytical skills.
  • Keen to learn, grow, and progress within a fast-moving financial services environment.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
  • Degree in Commerce, Finance, or Economics (preferred but not essential).
  • ISDA or derivatives experience not required, just a genuine curiosity and drive to develop expertise in this area.
