About the position:  

This position forms the core of technical expertise by providing diagnostic & consultative support to internal and external stake holders. You will provide support to key stakeholders through problem analysis and assessment. From time to time this position will also provide support to technical training, customer service and special projects.

Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Respond effectively to all dealer and customer service technical queries received through our case management system, managing each case to resolution.
  • Maintain accurate and concise records relating to technical case management.
  • Provide real time assistance to problem resolution remotely or at dealerships by diagnosing and rectifying vehicles which are the source of critical customer complaints.
  • Responding effectively to all dealer and customer technical queries.
  • Managing cases to resolution and highlighting critical issues or escalations to management in an expedient manner.

About you:

Your attributes and skills:

  • Formal trade qualifications as an Automotive Technician (Certificate III Light Vehicle Technology or equivalent) with significant experience as a senior technician.
  • 5+ years' automotive industry experience in technical roles.
  • A certification of Master Technician with an automotive OEM will be highly regarded.
  • Strong understanding of the automotive industry and Dealer networks.
  • Positive attitude, outside the box thinking and team player.
  • Confident in engaging and building great relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Well-developed computer skills competent with products such as Microsoft office and OEM diagnostic equipment.
  • Structured and methodical approach to problem identification, solving, documentation and reporting
  • Effective in negotiation and communication (written & verbal) skills.
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Previous dealership experience is advantageous.
