  • Excellent project management skills and experience coordinating and delivering projects within highly regulated and confidential environments.

Enrich your career with the NSW Treasury

You will have an invaluable opportunity to create a positive impact for the people of New South Wales. You will be challenged to provide the best outcomes possible in this role while developing and growing your own skills.

When you join Treasury, you join an organisation that is a whole-of-government financial and economic advisor. Treasury is a critical component of the government and provides advice that informs a wide range of financial, economic and policy driven work for the state of NSW.

As you contribute your expertise, you'll engage in continuous Professional Development, acquiring essential skills such as:

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships to support the effective delivery of policy and framework objectives. This includes clear communication, consultation, and negotiation with senior stakeholders, while navigating differing — and at times conflicting — perspectives.
  • Understand and respond to the needs of both the team and stakeholders. Ensure Gateway requirements are clearly communicated through well-prepared documentation and aligned expectations. Provide accurate and timely policy advice on complex matters, often under tight timeframes, limited notice, and in situations involving incomplete information, contested authority, and a high risk of unintended outcomes.
  • Manage competing priorities and deadlines, escalating risks to the Senior Associate when appropriate. Maintain consistency across Gateway reviews, templates, and guidance materials, while tailoring outputs to suit agency and sector needs. Balance independent delivery with proactive communication, including early identification of risks and regular status updates without needing to be prompted.
