The Role
We are seeking a full-time
Paralegal
to join our
Melbourne
team, working across Sensitive Claims and Professional Indemnity matters. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in complex litigation within a supportive and collaborative environment.
Core Responsibilities:
- Assist lawyers with case preparation, including drafting correspondence and legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare summaries of case law and legislation.
- Manage discovery processes, including document review and collation.
- Summarise expert reports and expert medical evidence.
- Liaise with clients, experts, and other stakeholders to gather information and coordinate case requirements.
- Maintain accurate and organised case files and manage deadlines.
- Assist with routine reporting and client communications.
Skills and Experiences:
About You
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience as a paralegal or legal assistant (insurance or litigation experience highly regarded).
- Attention to detail and organisational ability.
- Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
- Proficiency with legal software and document management systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and manage competing priorities.
