With a dedicated onshore customer service team, we are always ready to assist with any questions and continue to grow our presence in the outdoor leisure market.
Position Overview: Reporting to the Category Manager, the Category Assistant will play a key role in supporting and optimising the product categories within our eCommerce platform. This position involves coordination, and execution to ensure our product categories meet the demands of our customers and align with market trends. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has a passion for outdoor leisure products, and possesses excellent organisational and analytical skills.
Key Responsibilities
Category Support:
Assist in the development and execution of strategies for product categories.
- Monitor and report on category performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.
Support category manager with product selection, product development and maintaining optimal inventory levels.
Product Listing & Content:
Ensure accurate and up to date product listings with descriptions, images, and specifications.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging content and promotions.
Keep product information current and relevant.
Market Research & Analysis:
Analyse sales data and customer feedback to help support category strategies.
Keep an eye on competitor activities and suggest adjustments as needed.
Vendor Relations:
Assist in building and maintaining relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Help negotiate terms with suppliers to get the best deals for our products.
- Ensure timely and accurate delivery of products from suppliers.
Support invoicing and PO process with vendors
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with the marketing, sales, and customer service teams to support category goals.
- Coordinate with the logistics team for efficient inventory management and fulfillment.
Provide product knowledge and updates to the customer service team.
Performance Tracking:
Help monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for product categories.
- Prepare reports on category performance and suggest improvements.
- Assist in tracking promotional activities and their impact on sales.

You are a proactive and detail-oriented professional with a passion for outdoor leisure products and category management. You have strong analytical skills and excellent organisational abilities. Your communication and teamwork skills enable you to work effectively across-functional teams. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are committed to supporting sales and profitability.
Qualifications
High attention to detail.
Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret data.
Familiarity with eCommerce platforms and tools is a plus, but not essential.
Strong organisational skills.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
