Stirlings, established in 1973, is a privately owned stockholding & processing distributor of Stainless & Performance Steel products.

We are currently looking for someone to join our Projects, Indents & Contracts Team. This team is specialised in providing customers with custom solutions and a door-to-door supply chain service that is also supported by our inventory program.

This is a dynamic role that requires experience in the specialized Procurement & Solutions to both Internal & External customers. From receiving enquiry, to working on a custom solution from our network of international suppliers, and presenting in a competitive package. The role demands not just providing excellent customer service, but integrating with a larger team and helping facilitate demanding and complex orders. It exposes team members to all areas of the business and is a wonderful opportunity to support customers, build & develop strong working relationships and contribute to the business growth.

Position responsibilities include:

  • Providing custom Procurement Solutions to Internal & External customers
  • Full order & contract management – to provide customers with consistent and up to date communication on project.
  • Commercial packaging & estimating
  • Supporting our national sales team with specialist product and project requirements

For this exciting and hands-on role, you will need the following qualifications:

  • Advanced knowledge of the stainless steel or steel industry would be well-regarded but not essential.
  • Previous experience in Procurement servicing or within Industrial Wholesale, including industries related to Engineering, Fabrication, Water Treatment, Building, Marine, and Mining, would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • The ability to work within a team to achieve the best service delivery for our customers.
  • A high level of customers service capability & ethic

Must have full working rights for Australia.
