About the role
Are you passionate about supporting women through their maternity journey and beyond? We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Grade 2 Physiotherapist to join our dynamic Women's & Pelvic Health team, working across both inpatient maternity services and outpatient clinics.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, providing evidence-based, patient-centred care physiotherapy care to women during pregnancy, childbirth, and the postnatal period. The role includes:
Inpatient care on the maternity ward, focusing on early postnatal recovery, education, and discharge planning.
Outpatient services including:
Maternity musculoskeletal physiotherapyPelvic health physiotherapyThe role is currently based across Eastern Health Box Hill & Lilydale, but may also cover Eastern Health Angliss.
Key Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessment and management for women across the perinatal continuum.Deliver education and exercise programs tailored to individual needs.Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.Support and mentor junior staff and students as required.About you
To be successful in this role you will possess:
Recognised tertiary qualification in PhysiotherapyGraduate certificate in Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy, Masters of Pelvic Health or equivalent post graduate tertiary qualificationsAHPRA-registered Physiotherapist with relevant clinical experience in Women's & Pelvic Health.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.Commitment to professional development and evidence-based practice.Healthcare workers are strongly recommended to follow COVID vaccination recommendations provided in the Australian Immunisation handbook (based on ATAGI advice). Seasonal vaccination against influenza is a mandatory requirement of this role and an offer is conditional on this being up to date prior to employment.
