**About the role**

Our Commercial & Legal team are looking for a Commercial Officer, with a qualification or skillset in accounting, commerce, finance, business management (or similar) to join the team working Southern Program Alliance (SPA).

As the Commercial Officer you will be assisting with commercial functions within the SPA program, undertaking contract administration, providing advice to stakeholders on contract management, and play an active part in a team handling around $6billion dollars’ worth of assets - it’s a massive, and exciting program of works to be a part of

On any given day you might find yourself:

- Attending project meetings and providing your input and ideas.
- Drafting formal, well written documentation such as memos to the CEO and briefs.
- Writing change approval requests.
- Reviewing our contract management plan and ensuring the project is aligned.
- Creating a fancy Excel spreadsheet using formulas, tables and other such things.

You will be working with a leader who is (in his own words) “extremely passionate about working at LXRP because it is a project that is changing the face of the state of Victoria”. He has been in the industry since 1983, with a background in Mechanical Engineering and a strong awareness of safety. He also loves to have fun with his team, and highly values building strong team bonds along with producing high quality work.

This is a three (3) year fixed term position, paying a salary between $91,418 and $103,725 plus superannuation with a hybrid working arrangement (a mix of office and home/remote based working). The team enjoy working together from the Moorabbin office twice a week, and the Melbourne CBD office once a week. You will also have the option to access flexible working arrangements if you need them - many LXRP employees work flexibly.

You are someone that enjoys keeping busy, analysing contracts, crafting a well written memo, and assisting your colleagues and the business by providing them with solid advice. You like to get amongst the action and love the idea of working directly within the SPA program of work with the rest of the project delivery team.
- Strong people skills - you’ll be working closely with people, interpreting information into a format they can understand. The ability to adjust your communication style is key.
- An eye for detail and meeting deadlines - the world of contract administration requires good organisation and focus on details.
