Sydney, New South Wales, Australia Decor Systems Australia Full time
About Decor Systems

At Decor Systems, we design and manufacture architectural acoustic solutions that don't just meet performance standards - they elevate spaces. From the Sydney Theatre Company to Eromanga Natural History Museum, our work can be seen (and heard) in Australia's most inspiring interiors.

We're proudly Australian-owned and Supply Nation certified, blending craftsmanship, technology, and sustainability into every project we deliver. Our mission is simple: to be the most trusted and design-driven acoustic supplier in Australia.

Why Join Us

You'll join a team that's passionate about people, product and projects. We're curious, collaborative, and genuinely invested in creating spaces that make people say wow.

We believe the best work happens when you feel inspired, so this role offers flexibility, autonomy and plenty of opportunities to grow, learn, and make an impact.

About the Role

As a Specification Manager, you'll be the connector between architecture, design, and innovation — inspiring specifiers to see the creative and technical potential of Decor Systems. Working alongside the State Sales Manager, you'll ensure every specification flows seamlessly through design, documentation, and installation.

You'll:

  • Engage and build relationships with architects and interior designers (for e.g. BVN, Cox, Woods Bagot, Hassell).
  • Present our products and philosophy in a way that excites and inspires, whether in a boardroom, a CPD session, in the head office or on-site.
  • Provide design guidance and technical expertise across acoustics, fire, and sustainability.
  • Work alongside our project consultants to ensure every specification turns into a successful installation.
  • Be part of the conversation early — collaborating with architects to bring projects to life from concept through to completion. Act as an extension of their team, helping them solve complex wall and ceiling challenges with creativity and confidence.

This is not a desk-bound role. You'll be out there connecting, influencing, and helping shape the future of Australian architecture.

Who You Are

You're energised by people and passionate about design. You have a natural ability to tell stories, explain ideas, and make technical information engaging. You love architecture, interiors, and the creative process — and you're confident presenting to design teams big and small.

You'll thrive here if you:

  • Are a confident communicator with charisma and warmth.
  • Have experience (or genuine interest) in architecture, design, or building materials.
  • Are technically curious — you enjoy learning about compliance, sustainability, and how things are made.
  • Are organised, proactive, and commercially minded.
  • Love connecting dots between creativity and practicality.
  • You balance generosity with your time and expertise with strong commercial acumen — knowing when to educate, when to inspire, and when to convert opportunities into results.

What You'll Bring

  • 3–5+ years' experience in a client-facing role within design, construction, or manufacturing (preferable).
  • Strong presentation and communication skills — both visual and verbal.
  • Experience building and managing relationships with architects and designers.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specs, and project details (or willingness to learn).
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or CRM systems (bonus).

What's in It for You?

  • A chance to represent a premium, design-led Australian brand.
  • Collaboration with top-tier architectural practices on iconic projects.
  • Career development and leadership pathways as we continue to grow nationally.
  • Brand new office and manufacturing facility.
  • Flexibility, autonomy, and support to make the role your own.
  • A creative, ambitious team that genuinely loves what they do.
