School Engagement and Recruitment Assistant
5 days ago
About the Role
We're looking for an enthusiastic and organised Schools Engagement and Recruitment Assistant to join our passionate Future Students team at Swinburne University of Technology.
In this exciting role, you'll help us connect with schools, inspire future students, and showcase everything Swinburne has to offer. From supporting events and following up on enquiries to supporting our recruitment strategy — you'll be at the heart of helping people take their next big step.
No two days will be the same. You might be helping plan a school visit one day and representing Swinburne at an event the next. You'll work closely with a supportive team, gaining hands-on experience in recruitment, events, and communications — all while making a real difference in shaping students' futures.
If you're organised, people-focused and excited by the idea of bringing opportunities to life, we'd love to hear from you.
About You
We're looking for someone who's proactive, organised and passionate about supporting students on their education journey. To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- Proven experience in a sales support or customer-focused role, ideally within a service-based environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate effectively, and negotiate with confidence.
- Outstanding time management skills and the ability to stay organised, meet tight deadlines, and thrive under pressure.
- A solid understanding of Australia's education systems and frameworks, along with awareness of relevant government policies.
- Familiarity with the secondary and tertiary education landscape — including VTAC application and selection processes and higher education reforms (highly regarded).
- Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) systems such as Customer One or Salesforce would be advantageous
Qualifications
Completion of an associate diploma level qualification in marketing / communications or equivalent with relevant work-related experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
