As part of our Budget Office team, you will contribute to the annual State Budget process and support data-driven decision-making. This is a dynamic role where you will develop and maintain data analysis tools, provide expert insights, and collaborate across teams to deliver innovative solutions. In This Role, You Will
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines, systems, and infrastructure using tools like Microsoft Azure Synapse, Power BI, SQL, and Python.
- Support and enhance bespoke tools such as BudgetPlus and BudgetMap to streamline budget processes and visualise government initiatives.
- Develop documentation, policies, and frameworks to support data-driven decision-making and build transferrable skills within Queensland Treasury.
- Ensure compliance with data security requirements and implement robust access controls for sensitive data.
- Collaborate across teams, building strong relationships to ensure data solutions meet departmental needs.
- Provide insights and contribute to innovative practices, actively participating in the design of new solutions and ways of working.
- Deliver high-quality reports, analysis, briefing notes, and advice on complex budgetary issues.
- Foster a positive and supportive team culture, contributing to the success of the Budget Office and Queensland Treasury.
What Experience You Will Bring

- Exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Whilst there are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, relevant qualifications will be highly regarded.
