Your new company

Hays Recruitment is looking for a capable and proactive Procurement Officer to join a collaborative team based in Brisbane. This role will see you leading the delivery of procurement projects from planning through to contract award. You'll be working closely with internal stakeholders.

Your new role

You will be responsible for;

Managing end-to-end procurement activities across a range of projects.

  • Providing clear, practical advice to clients and stakeholders on procurement processes.
  • Supporting teams with documentation, evaluations, negotiations, and contract management.
  • Ensuring procurement activities align with departmental policies and the Queensland Procurement Policy.
  • Contributing to the development and improvement of procurement systems and processes.
  • Preparing reports, briefings, and correspondence as needed.
  • Staying across current procurement strategies and government priorities.
  • Promoting a positive, inclusive, and ethical team culture.

What you'll need to succeed

  • Solid experience in procurement, ideally within a complex or government environment.
  • Strong understanding of procurement frameworks and policy.
  • Confident communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • A detail-oriented approach with a focus on compliance and best practice.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
