About the role
You will be:
· Providing ongoing individual support to a woman with an Intellectual Disability and Schizoaffective Disorder (with behaviours)
· Implementing Positive Behaviour Support plan and other support techniques established in the participant's support plan
· Available for x4 8hr shifts a week
· Working closely with the participant and their support network
· Actively checking in and engaging with your team
Skills and Experience
MUST HAVE
· Relevant Qualifications e.g. disability, aged care, community services or relevant experience.
· AT LEAST 2+ years experience working in disability support AND experience in managing challenging behaviours
· A firm understanding of de-escalation techniques
· Working with Children Check
· National Police Clearance
· NDIS Worker Orientation Module
. Covid-19 Vaccination
· First Aid & CPR Certificate
· Valid Driver's License & a reliable vehicle
· Excellent communication skills including verbal, written and listening
· Ability to problem solve, think creatively and find innovative solutions
