About the Role

The role is primarily responsible for the event coordination of wedding receptions and ceremonies, along with corporate events and social celebrations.

As a clients main point of contact, your focus is to ensure the experience is impressive and delivered with care. For many the experience of planning a wedding or special event is daunting and filled with emotion - so being of immediate assistance, with all the answers through the process is your priority.

Having the ability to calm nerves, never miss a detail and add some fun and flair along the way will all be essential

Your daily focus will be, however not limited to:

  • Event coordination and client servicing
  • Assisting event enquires
  • Conducting site inspections
  • Converting these inspections into bookings
  • Taking restaurant reservations (including group bookings) and liaising with restaurant staff as required

Position is full time Tuesday to Saturday based at Regatta Point.

About you

To be successful and to truly enjoy the role you will need to bring:

  • previous coordination experience
  • strong understanding of the Canberra wedding & events industry
  • a passion for weddings
  • an understanding of short & long lead time events
  • care and pride in what you do - dedication to delivery
  • a fine eye for detail
  • a bubbly personality that can easily get along with clients and the team alike
  • experience with Priava software would be beneficial, however is not essential
