ITSM Governance Lead | Service Management | Multi-Supplier Delivery

  • Location: Canberra, ACT
  • Clearance: NV1 Security Clearance (Mandatory)
  • Contract Length: 12 months + 2 * 12 months extensions (Based on the discretion of the Department)

About The Position
We are seeking an experienced ITSM Governance Led to drive the uplift, governance, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide service management practices. This role is central to embedding strong ITSM governance, ensuring supplier performance accountability, and aligning IT services with business outcomes in a multi-supplier environment.

Key Responsibilities Of The Position

  • Lead the design, implementation, and uplift of enterprise ITSM frameworks.
  • Establish and govern service delivery and accountability across multiple internal and external suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain the ITSM governance model, including policies, processes, and SLAs.
  • Oversee service reporting frameworks, ensuring accurate dashboards and insights into compliance, performance, and service maturity.
  • Chair governance forums and build collaborative relationships with service providers and business units.
  • Drive continual service improvement and customer-focused service management practices.

What We Are Looking For

  • Extensive ITSM leadership experience, with expertise in governance and cross-supplier service integration.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL principles and their application across the service lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to lead governance forums and engage with senior stakeholders to enforce accountability.
  • Experience developing ITSM policies, KPIs, and performance frameworks.
  • Advanced analytical and reporting capability, with proven ability to translate service data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, ideally within government or highly regulated industries.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • ITIL v4 Managing Professional or Strategic Leader certification.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or equivalent ITSM platforms.
  • Familiarity with Agile, DevOps, or hybrid delivery environments.
