We are seeking an experienced
People & Capability Manager
to join our team and support the Australian based diverse team across manufacturing, distribution, sales & marketing and corporate functions.
Be part of a broader global People & Capability team that collaborate on global programs of work to build a safe, healthy organisation, creating an environment with the ability to unite and respond to a shared goal.
This role will see you working as a trusted advisor to leaders, providing guidance across the full employee lifecycle while helping shape and deliver key people strategies. With a focus on capability building, talent development, and driving performance, you will play a critical role in aligning our workforce with current and future business goals.
This is a hands-on role where you'll balance strategic initiatives with day-to-day operational HR support.
The role:
- Take up a role of the Senior Leadership Team in Australia, shaping regional commercial goals and continually building the culture and capability required to deliver
- Partner with, and coach leaders to strengthen leadership capability and decision-making
- Lead Leadership Learning programs embedding thought leadership into everyday work
- Enable effective change programs in ways of working, digital enablement, continuous improvement
- Engage with our offline operations teams to provide transparent leadership, building trust through open communication and action
- Understand our team's responses in employee surveys to develop practices to improve engagement, pride and motivation
- Manage completion of performance management cycles, salary reviews, compensation practices and succession planning
- Build and champion Learning & Development initiatives aligned to our strategic goals
- Partner with our People & Talent Specialist to identify key talent pipelines, hire and onboard true impact players
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment legislation, including the Fair Work Act, National Employment Standards, and modern awards
- Interpret our EBA and applicable Awards, providing practical advice and leader guidance on workplace relations matters. Interact with Union parties as applicable.
The successful candidate should have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Organisational Psychology or similar
- Proven HRBP or HR generalist experience, ideally within a manufacturing or similar industrial environment.
- Confidence in Award interpretation and workplace relations
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence, coach, and build trust with leaders across all levels of the business
- Pragmatic, solutions-focused mindset, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Working knowledge of Australian employment law
- Excellent communication, coaching, and facilitation skills
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and resilience
- Flexibility to engage with shift based operations (24h/5d) – occasional early morning toolbox sessions and safety walks
