The Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic HR Assistant to join our growing Sydney team. Based in our Lane Cove West office, this role will work closely with our two experienced HR professionals, providing vital support in a range of HR and administrative tasks. This is a fantastic entry-level opportunity to dive into the HR field, with comprehensive training provided, including certification in conducting silica FIT tests a valuable credential in workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding processes, supporting candidate management and HR logistics

  • Primary contact responsible for handling calls with clients and candidates.

  • Provide daily administrative support across HR functions, including compliance, record keeping, and employee communications

  • Maintain and update records in Austunnel's Employee Records Management System (ERMS)

  • Contribute to the onboarding and offboarding processes, ensuring a smooth experience for new and departing employees

  • Collaborate across teams to support HR projects, initiatives, and other office tasks as needed

What You Bring:

  • An interest in building a career in HR, with some foundational experience or study in administration or HR beneficial but not required

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook

  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills

  • Great communication skills, with a friendly, professional manner on the phone and in person

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with a positive approach to learning new skills

  • A driver's license (useful for assisting with occasional off-site tasks)
