Zscaler Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Security Architect to lead the design and delivery of secure, cloud-first solutions for one of our key clients. This role is critical in shaping how users securely connect to applications and services, leveraging Zscaler technologies as the cornerstone of a modern Zero Trust security model.

This position requires a blend of hands-on technical expertise and strategic architectural leadership. You'll partner with business, security, and infrastructure stakeholders to design, implement, and govern secure access solutions that scale with enterprise needs.

What will you be doing?

• Architect and design secure access solutions leveraging Zscaler (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX) and related technologies.
• Define and document high-level and low-level designs, security patterns, and integration blueprints.
• Lead end-to-end delivery, from requirements gathering and solution design through to implementation, testing, and transition to BAU.
• Integrate Zscaler into wider enterprise ecosystems including identity services (Azure AD, Okta), SIEM/SOC platforms, endpoint protection (MDAM/EDR), and datacentre workloads.
• Provide technical leadership and governance, ensuring solutions align with Zero Trust principles, industry best practices, and client security policies.
• Collaborate with security, networking, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless integration across hybrid and cloud environments.
• Conduct security assessments, risk reviews, and architecture assurance activities.
• Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders, presenting architecture options, trade-offs, and recommendations in both technical and business terms.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams in solution implementation and operational handover.

To be Considered:

• Extensive experience as a Security Architect, Network Architect, or Senior Security Engineer in enterprise-scale environments.
• Deep technical expertise in Zscaler cloud security platforms (ZIA, ZPA, ZDX) – design, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust architectures and modern secure access models (SASE, SSE).
• Proven experience integrating security solutions with Identity, SIEM, endpoint, and legacy datacentre technologies.
• Ability to produce clear architectural documentation and lead design workshops with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and hybrid cloud architectures.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
• Relevant certifications highly desirable: Zscaler Certified Architect (ZCA/ZPA/ZIA), CCSP, CISSP, Azure Security Architect, or equivalent.
