About The Role
As the AI & Data Ethics Governance Specialist, you will help shape the ethical and responsible use of AI and data across ART. You'll work cross-functionally to embed governance, transparency, fairness, and accountability into AI initiatives. This role is key to ensuring ART's practices align with community expectations, ethical standards, and regulatory obligations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain ethical AI governance frameworks aligned with ART's data and digital governance practices.
- Review AI and data initiatives for ethical, fairness, and reputational risks.
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure regulatory alignment.
- Support impact assessments and risk classification for AI initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate the Responsible AI Working Group, including forums and documentation.
- Champion responsible AI practices through training, tools, and awareness programs.
- Contribute to AI oversight processes, including system monitoring and transparency notes.
- Stay informed on global trends and best practices in AI and data governance.

You are passionate about ethical technology and have a strong foundation in AI governance, risk, and compliance. You bring a collaborative mindset and are confident engaging with diverse stakeholders to drive responsible innovation. Your ability to assess complex risks and influence strategic direction makes you a trusted advisor in this space.
Key Skills And Experience
- Strong understanding of AI ethics, data governance, and emerging regulation.
- Experience in policy, risk, or compliance roles within data-driven environments.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Ability to assess risk from legal, technical, and societal impact perspectives.
- Experience facilitating governance forums and working groups.
- Practical experience applying ethical or risk frameworks to emerging technologies.
- Familiarity with fairness, explainability, and transparency metrics in AI systems.
- Exposure to frameworks such as ISO/IEC 23894, Responsible AI Principles, or AI impact assessments.
