Flying Operation Safety Manager

Headquarter in Perth and operates in both Australia and Asia, Pacific Flight Services (PFS) bases in both Perth and Singapore under CASR Part 121, 135 and 138 regulations, as well as Part 141/142. We are looking for suitable candidate to fill the Safety Manager role to manage all aspects of the planning, implementation, and day-to-day operation of an organisation's safety management system (SMS).

The Role

  • Providing safety advice and mentoring to management, staff, and contractors.
  • Maintaining a safety reporting system to identify and manage safety related hazards and risks.
  • Investigating or coordinating the investigation of accidents and incidents.
  • Identifying and often facilitating ongoing staff training to support SMS objectives.
  • Overseeing internal and external safety audit programs.
  • Maintaining the company's emergency response plan.
  • Promoting general safety awareness and the development of a healthy safety culture within the company.
  • Providing management with data to assess the performance of the SMS and the areas where improvement is required.
  • Managing the maintenance and continuous improvement of the SMS and FRMS:

What are we looking for?

  • Previous experience in a similar Safety role working in Australian aviation industry.
  • Ability to lead, manage and set standards to enable the operator to safely implement its SMS in accordance with our Exposition.
  • Familiarity with CASR Part 121, 135, 138, 141 and 142 regulations.
  • Relevant training in Aviation Safety, accident investigation, risk assessment, lead auditing, will be beneficial but not essential.
  • Able to travel between different PFS bases.
  • Unrestricted working right in Australia and entry right to Singapore.
