About the role
As the WA Technical and Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the implementation and compliance of food safety and quality standards. You will work closely with the National Technical & Safety Manager and lead a team of Quality and Safety Managers to ensure that our products meet all necessary standards. This position also involves supporting site safety initiatives and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
This is a full-time Monday to Friday however if preparing for an audit or other time restricted duty you may be required to attend outside of normal working hours on occasion.
Location: This role will located at Bibra Lake however will be required to travel to our 3 sites Bibra lake, Palmyra and Belmont
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement national technical programs, SOPs, and policies across all WA sites.
- Ensure effective communication with site operations and provide guidance on corrective actions.
- Oversee the implementation of new products, including the preparation of recipe cards and specifications.
- Supervise and support the Quality and Safety Managers.
- Manage internal schedules and participate in the internal audit program.
- Conduct investigations into customer complaints and monitor compliance with product and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with Site Operations Managers to promote a culture of quality and health & safety.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Degree in food science or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of QA experience in food manufacturing or FMCG.
- External HACCP training (Principles and Applications).
- Proficiency in MS applications and data analysis.
