Steel Pacific Insurance Brokers is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Insurance Broker to join our close-knit team. Reporting General Manager, this role is central to delivering exceptional broking services to our valued clients.

About the Role

As a Broker, you'll play a key role in managing client relationships and servicing a diverse portfolio of business across SME and Commercial Accounts. This role is based in our Mackay office, and you will also work collaboratively with colleagues across our offices in Queensland and contribute to the success of the team through your proactive approach and strong technical skills.

Key Responsibilities


• Prepare and collate documentation including invoices, proposal forms, and declarations


• Develop strategies for renewals and new business


• Obtain and compare renewal terms and claims experience from underwriters


• Prepare renewal reports and confirmation letters, manage policy documentation, endorsements, and variation requests


• Handle credit control tasks including statement reviews and payment investigations


• Manage documentation flow


• Support special projects as required by management


• Opportunity to help support our junior staff and be involved in their ongoing development.

What You'll Bring


• Tier 1 Broking Qualification is preferred for this position along with at least 2 years Insurance Broking experience managing accounts


• Strong attention to detail and a client-first mindset with excellent communication and organisational skills


• Familiarity with CRM systems and insurance documentation processes


• Good understanding of Broker compliance and previous exposure to regulatory and industry standards


• Can do and positive attitude who is looking for a career within a supportive and inclusive environment.
