Head Chef – Lead the Kitchen at Mornington's Favourite Tapas Venue

Tío Tapas Y Vino has become a beloved dining destination on the Mornington Peninsula, offering authentic Spanish tapas, vibrant cocktails, and an inviting atmosphere. With exciting expansion plans ahead, we are seeking a passionate and talented Head Chef to take the reins in our kitchen and bring something truly special to Tío.

About the Role:

As our Head Chef, you'll be responsible for leading a dynamic kitchen team, curating innovative and authentic Spanish-inspired dishes, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This is an opportunity to showcase your culinary creativity while maintaining the high standards that have made Tío a local favourite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of kitchen operations, including menu development, food quality, and team management
  • Maintain high standards of food presentation, consistency, and flavour
  • Train, mentor, and motivate a talented kitchen team
  • Manage stock levels, ordering, and kitchen budgets
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene regulations

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen
  • Passion for Spanish cuisine and modern interpretations of clastic tapas
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining creativity and quality
