Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Digital Health Trainer to join the Digital Health Training Team.
Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne's rapidly growing outer north.
Services are provided through our five main campuses:
Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.
About the Role:
This role requires, a skilled and motivated trainer who can combine clinical and operational knowledge with adult education expertise to design, deliver, and evaluate engaging training programs. The role requires a strong understanding of digital workflows, the ability to translate system design into practical learning experiences, and the capacity to support staff adoption of new technologies and processes.
This role is responsible fordeveloping, coordinating, and delivering high-quality training for Northern Health's digital health applications, including the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other digital care solutions. This includes creating and maintaining a range of training materials and artefacts, facilitating role-based education across multiple disciplines, and ensuring training programs remain aligned with evolving clinical workflows, business needs, and organisational priorities. The role also plays a key part in building digital literacy, supporting change initiatives, and contributing to the safe and consistent use of digital health systems.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience and good working knowledge of healthcare operations, clinical workflows, and the use of digital health systems in supporting patient care.
- Proven ability to design, develop, and deliver engaging training in a variety of modalities, including face-to-face, virtual, webinars, and eLearning.
- Demonstrated expertise in adult learning, facilitation, and the creation of educational resources such as session plans, guides, videos, infographics, and eLearning modules.
- Well-developed communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage clinicians, influence stakeholders, and prepare reports, presentations, and training materials.
- Strong organisational skills to manage multiple tasks, competing priorities, and multidisciplinary issues while consistently meeting deadlines.
- Cultural awareness and interpersonal skills to work effectively with a diverse workforce and community, showing empathy and a commitment to high-quality outcomes.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify challenges, develop solutions, and adapt training to meet organisational needs.
- Self-motivation and adaptability, with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and concepts, work independently, and contribute to team goals.
- Commitment to digital transformation, showing enthusiasm and drive to enhance clinical care and digital literacy through innovative training and process design.
