About the Role
Are you passionate about youth mental health and skilled in digital communication? We're looking for a Digital Health Peer Worker to connect with young people across digital platforms, helping them access support, build resilience, and feel heard—no matter where they are.
This role blends creativity, compassion, and tech-savvy thinking to deliver meaningful mental health engagement in a remote and vibrant community.
Key Responsibilities
Peer worker/s will be employed by the headspace Lead Agency to focus on supporting the awareness and uptake of digital health as part of the roll out of the MOST youth digital mental health service.
The establishment of these peer worker roles at the two-headspace services in the Kimberley is to support:
- Collaboration between the services to develop working relationships in the region and visibility of peer connection to youth mental health services.
- Community awareness activities to increase awareness of headspace services inclusive of digital supports and MOST.
- Provision of an alternative entry point to headspace services for young people, particularly those who are socially isolated, LGBTIQA+ or neurodevelopmental presentations who may not otherwise engage with the service.
- Navigation of the different service offerings across the headspace platform.
- Enhanced engagement alongside clinician and group sessions including supportive step down and discharge utilising the MOST service for on-going support.
- The culturally appropriate and safe rollout of the MOST service using a consultative and inclusive approach which values the input of local young people; and
- Integration of MOST within the headspace services, across GP services and the associated Social and Emotional Wellbeing services of the lead agency.
