At TerraCom, there is no Finish Line.

An exciting opportunity awaits, highly motivated and experienced Multi Skilled Operators to operate our Cat D 10T & 11T dozers in our mine's dozer operations, and Excavator EX1200, EX3600 & L9400, which are used to load shot rock and coal. Your role will be to complement our primary stripping equipment comprising of the Dragline and truck excavator fleets. This position offers the flexibility to live locally or DIDO on a 7 days on 7 days off rotating day and night shift roster. The Blair Athol Coal mine is located an easy 20 minute commute from the family-friendly township of Clermont in Central Queensland, 120 km northwest of the FIFO hub of Emerald and an easy driving distance from nearby coastal communities.

The role responsibilities will be to;

• You will be responsible for the attainment of production targets relating to the production dozer operations.

• Safe and productive operation on excavator maintaining consistent production rates, removal of coal seams in sequence along with waste removal.

• Consistency in sticking to plan and identifying hazards and control measures within your work area.

• Have a demonstrated positive work ethic

• Sound judgement, decision-making and problem-solving

• Flexible in approach and able to deal with ambiguity

What you can bring to the role

To play a part in our ongoing success we are seeking candidates with:

• Have previous production Dozer experience on D10 and D11 Dozers (or similar) with GPS production systems.

• Have previous production Excavator experience on either L9400 or EX3600 (or similar) with GPS production systems.

• Experience operating in a mining environment.

• A positive can-do attitude with a strong passion for safety improving mining efficiencies.

• Interpretation of dig plans.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• A Team player who can help influence and shape our culture to ensure a safe, productive, sustainable and disciplined approach to work is maintained.
