Who are We:
Born of Central Queensland, Futura is a privately owned Australian company which operates two large, near-surface coking coal deposits, Wilton and Fairhill, located near Emerald in Queensland's Bowen Basin. Our assets are shallow, open-cut operations with large proven resources. The safety of our people and the environment is our highest priority, and we are dedicated to coal mining and the benefits it brings to local communities, Queensland and Australia.
The Opportunity:
We are currently seeking Single and Multi-Skilled Operators to join our growing team at our operating Wilton Pit and the upcoming Fairhill mining operations.
These operations require highly skilled operators, preferably with experience in thin-seam open cut mining, who are keen to work within a small high performing team environment.
Preferred candidates will be local to the Emerald region and possess strong open-cut coal mining experienced, good communication skills and have a track record of meeting production outcomes with a definitive safety focus. Emergency Response Team training will be highly regarded.
Roles Available:
Haul truck and Water Cart operators;
Grader and Dozer (Dump, Floor and Production) operators;
Supervisors / Operator of (Coal stockpile and Road Train Loading);
Excavator operators (Production and Thin Seam Mining specialists);
Multi-skilled operators and those with thin seam mining experience will be highly regarded.
About You:
You will hold current QLD coal operational competencies, along with:
2 years previous experience in coal mining operational roles;
Current Standard 11 and Coal Board Medical;
Valid driver's license and proof of right to work in Australia;
Must be able to pass pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol screening;
Emergency Response Team experience (preferable but not essential);
Strong communication skills.
What's on Offer:
An attractive renumeration package will be on offer for the preferred candidates, which may include site allowances.
These roles are offered residentially, based in Emerald, on a 7/7 roster.
