The Perth Football Club is seeking an experienced and passionate Colts Head Coach to lead our Colts program in 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled and motivated individual to play a key role in developing the next generation of Perth Football Club players.

About the Role

The Colts Head Coach will be responsible for leading, developing, and managing the performance of the Perth Football Club Colts team. You will provide strong leadership to players, assistant coaches, and support staff while fostering a culture of excellence, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver a comprehensive player development program focusing on skills, fitness, and game understanding.
  • Provide individualised coaching and feedback to maximise player potential and prepare them for higher levels of competition.
  • Manage all aspects of team operations including training, match preparation, and game-day strategies.
  • Develop innovative and effective tactical plans based on analysis of team and opposition strengths and weaknesses.
  • Build strong relationships with players, parents, club officials, and key stakeholders.
  • Represent the Club professionally at league meetings, media events, and community engagements.
  • Engage with and assist development of our club coaches particularly at Academy/Development Squad level.

What We're Looking For

  • AFL Level 2 (Silver) Coaching Accreditation.
  • Knowledge of IT platforms used at state league level such as HUDL/Sportscode (vision) and Champion Data (statistics).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships.
  • A proven ability to lead with integrity, discipline, and accountability.
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Availability to work three evenings a week for training and weekends for matches (aligned to the WAFL season fixture).
  • Current Driver's Licence and Working with Children's Check.
