Carbon Positive Australia is seeking an experienced Communications Manager to guide our evolving focus from carbon offsetting to comprehensive ecosystem restoration. With 18 years of environmental impact, CPA is positioning ourselves for emerging biodiversity markets and nature-based investment opportunities.
The Opportunity
You'll join us at a pivotal moment, overseeing our brand refresh, and website redevelopment, while maintaining business continuity and protecting revenue streams. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on communications delivery, directly supporting our mission to restore Australia's degraded landscapes at scale. Working with our fundraisers and marketing manager, this senior role will guide CPA's external communications in close collaboration with senior team members and board.
Key Responsibilities
• Create compelling content that secures funding and demonstrates program impact
• Oversee our WooCommerce and HubSpot email marketing platforms
• Support fundraising with donor materials, and partnership communications
• Manage external agencies and protect website revenue during transition
Critical experience
• years' communications experience, including brand or website projects
• Strong project management skills with proven ability to coordinate stakeholders
• Excellent writing skills, from grant proposals to impact stories
• Understanding of environmental non-profit sector communications
• Experience supporting fundraising and managing external suppliers
Desirable experience
• WordPress and HubSpot experience (or similar platforms)
• Previous rebrand or organisational change experience
• Knowledge of environmental sector and sustainability trends
