Overview

Communications Manager (Affirmative measure Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment) – Australian Taxation Office

This vacancy is open only to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants. To be eligible for this role candidates must provide confirmation of their Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander heritage.

Responsibilities
  • Lead a high-performing team responsible for developing and implementing strategic communication initiatives and managing digital ATO channels in support of the ATO's corporate objectives.
  • Drive meaningful outcomes for the organisation and the Australian community.
  • Build strong relationships with business partners, senior stakeholders and third parties to plan, develop, implement and evaluate marketing and communication strategies, projects, products and events.
  • Manage digital communication channels that enable the ATO to reach millions of taxpayers across Australia and beyond (depending on the position).
  • Foster engagement, strengthen partnerships and support the delivery of clear, consistent and impactful messaging.

We are seeking motivated and experienced Communications Managers to join our specialised teams within the ATO Corporate business area. This initiative helps to increase the number of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people employed in the APS, to better reflect the diversity of the Australian community.
