This role sits within the Marine, Coast, Estuary and Flood team and is responsible for overseeing operational policy, technical support, and coordination of regional flood program delivery.
You'll manage a team providing strategic oversight and policy advice on the NSW Urban Flood Program, ensuring a consistent, state-wide approach to floodplain management. The role involves working closely with planning, emergency services and local government to support flood risk reduction and build community resilience. You'll be part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team focused on delivering practical solutions and continuous improvement in flood program outcomes.
About You

Your ability to interpret complex data, develop practical solutions, and manage program delivery makes you a trusted advisor to both internal teams and external stakeholders.
You're a collaborative leader who builds strong relationships with councils, emergency services, and other government agencies. You communicate clearly, manage competing priorities, and bring a calm, solutions-focused approach to complex challenges. You're comfortable navigating policy, budgets and performance targets, and you're committed to delivering programs that improve community resilience and environmental outcomes.
