The Role
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Night Shift Cleaner Leading Hand to join our cleaning team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading, supervising, and supporting the night shift cleaning team to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard. This role is a critical part of our operations, and we are looking for someone who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure the highest levels of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and support the night shift cleaning team to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
• Clean floors, walls, drains, and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents and tools
• Operate cleaning machinery safely and effectively
• Coordinate and assign cleaning duties based on production schedules and sanitation requirements
• Ensure the safe and proper use of cleaning equipment, tools, and chemicals
• Maintain accurate data and records for audit purposes
• Train and mentor new team members on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and company policies
• Conduct inspections of cleaned areas and equipment to verify compliance with sanitation and food safety standards
• Create and update SOP and Task Instructions as per requirements
• Follow safety guidelines and procedures
• Adhere to company policies and confidentiality agreements.

We're looking for someone with

• Team management experience and industrial cleaning experience essential
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• High attention to detail and commitment to hygiene and compliance
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Ability to work overnight hours, including weekends or holidays if required
• Physical fitness and ability to lift, bend, climb, and stand for extended periods
• FMCG experience (preferred)
• Industrial machine cleaning experience (preferred)
• The successful candidate must be available during our shut down period (middle of December until the first week of January – with main holidays off)
