We are looking for an experienced Head Chef to oversee the daily operations of our busy kitchen at Eugene's cafe in Waverley. The successful applicant will manage kitchen staff, ensure high standards of food quality, maintain compliance with NSW food safety legislation, and contribute to menu development.

We are a 7 day per week operation. You will be required to work 5 days including weekends, from 6am.

Responsibilities;

  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring quality food preparation and presentation.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.

  • Oversee stock control, ordering, and rotationMaintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen at all times.

  • Assist with recruitment, rostering, and staff development

  • Liaise with the Executive Chef and suppliers regarding stock, maintenance, and equipment.

Requirements;

-Relevant trade qualification in Commercial Cookery (Cert IV or higher) or equivalent experience

  • Previous experience as a Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef in a busy kitchen environment

  • Ability to lead and motivate a teamExcellent time management and organisational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 – $80,000.00 per year
