In this role, you'll:

Be part of the Tangara Fleet Life Extension (TFLE) project, where you will establish robust project management frameworks, drive efficiencies, and ensure successful delivery within a complex, operational and safety-critical, highly regulated rail environment. You'll be accountable including forecasting, budgeting, scheduling, reporting, project delivery and risk management, utilising project controls. Importantly you will deliver successful outcomes ideally in similar environments that are safety critical and regulated.

We have two newly created fixed term positions with an end date of 21 June 2027:

Senior Project Manager - Project Delivery(Production): your primary responsibility will be to oversee the production master plan in collaboration with discipline leads from critical areas such as Production, Supply Chain, Engineering and Assurance, Testing and Commissioning, and PMO. Your key tasks will include project forecasting, scheduling, and sequencing production activities to effectively attain the predefined key performance indicators (KPIs). Additionally, you will coordinate with various stakeholders to ensure that outcomes are delivered safely, efficiently, on schedule, and within budgetary constraints.

Senior Project Manager - Project Delivery (Supply Chain): you will be responsible for overseeing the forecasting, budgeting, and scheduling of all activities related to the Supply Chain in coordination with the PMO. This includes managing procurement activities, coordinating with suppliers and contractors, and ensuring the timely delivery of critical parts to production. You will support the operational integration, schedule and manage supporting initiatives such as facilities upgrades, while maintaining oversight of project reporting, risk management, and scheduling. Additionally, you'll coordinate with various business and project stakeholders to ensure that schedules and plans are aligned, and outcomes are delivered safely on time and within budget.

About you

You bring extensive experience in managing large, complex, operational and safety-critical projects in highly regulated environments (such as rail, mining, heavy industry, or equivalent) and proficient in tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, and document management systems. Training in PRINCE or PMBOK is desirable although not essential.
 
You're skilled in establishing project management frameworks, managing risk in complex project structures and driving efficiencies in a high-visibility environment. You also bring a strong understanding of supply chain and production operations, including sequencing, forecasting, budgeting, and the impacts of supply chain performance on operational outcomes.
 
You're a strong communicator with the ability to engage various stakeholders and you bring a solution-focused mindset and adaptability to thrive in a unique operational environment where continuous improvement and safety are critical.
