Overview
Reporting to the Creative Director, the Creative Social Lead will be responsible for taking the lead in developing, executing, and managing social media strategies that drive brand awareness, engagement, and conversion for

clients. The Creative Social Lead will also play a pivotal role in guiding a small team of social creatives, overseeing content creation, community management, analytics, and client communication.
Key Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
- Develop on-brand social media content strategies for client partners, with tailored approaches for each platform.
- Independently set the strategic direction and integration of key social and content work streams for clients.
- Lead campaign planning, launches, promotions, and contests across all social platforms.
- Ideate engaging content concepts (static, video, and animated formats) to pitch internally and to clients.
- Build monthly social media calendars and schedule/post content at optimal times.
Content Creation & Execution
- Produce social media assets and collaborate with Art Directors/Designers to deliver advanced visual and animated video content.
- Ensure content aligns with client strategy and gather feedback for continuous improvement.
- Maintain best-in-class creative, strategy, and production standards across all social output.
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a small team of social creatives, producers, and coordinators, providing clear direction and constructive feedback.
- Train and develop junior team members to ensure high performance and professional growth.
- Be accountable for the integration, management, and delivery of all social and content work streams.
Client & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a trusted point of contact for senior client stakeholders, building and maintaining strong relationships.
- Provide clear campaign updates, performance insights, and recommendations for improvement.
Measurement & Reporting
- Use analytics tools to monitor performance and share insights internally and with clients.
- Deliver actionable reports that inform future content optimisation and strategy.
Business Development
- Lead and participate in new business pitches, presentations, and proposal development.

Experience & Skills
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
- Strong understanding of all major social media platforms, trends, and best practices.
- Proven ability to lead strategy and execution of paid and organic social media campaigns.
- High-level proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, After Effects).
- Expertise with social media management tools and analytics platforms.
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills, including presenting strategy and results to stakeholders.
- Exceptional leadership and mentoring abilities, with experience managing small teams.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong art direction skills and understanding of the full production process, including post-production editing.
Qualifications & Experience
- A degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Demonstrated success in leading social media campaigns from concept through to delivery.
- Experience leading new business pitches and working directly with senior client stakeholders.
- Willingness to travel to client sites as required.
This role is based in Melbourne. You must have the legal right to live/work in Australia.
