The Lucky Hotel is on the lookout for a Functions and Events Manager.
Our hotel was recently crowned People's Choice Hotel of the Year, and with a fresh renovation, stunning new accommodation, an elevated comfort menu, and the exciting addition of a wood-fired pizza oven, we're more buzzing than ever
We want to do things differently. The food won't be ordinary pub grub, the entertainment won't just be DJ's or cover bands. We want to light it up and we want someone who has wanted to let loose and have some fun giving Newcastle memorable experiences and best in class hospitality.
THE OPPORTUNITY
The role of the Functions and Events Manager is to lead and co-ordinate all functions and events. We believe in a collaborative environment. Your ideas will be welcome and rewarded. Your voice will be heard and respected.
The role will include but not limited to:
Managing all function and event bookings from inquiry to execution

Chasing leads, converting inquiries, and hitting sales targets

Liaising with clients to deliver seamless, memorable events

Leading and coordinating events on the day – from setup to close

Working collaboratively with our front-of-house, kitchen, and management teams
WHO ARE YOU
As a driven, passionate and focused individual you will possess the following attributes and skills:
Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role (hospitality/events/sales)

Proven background in sales and hospitality
-
Excellent organizational and communication skills
-
A natural people-person who thrives in a dynamic environment
-
A current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) certificate
This is a strong, hands-on role, leading and motivating from the front where your experience requires thinking on your feet to meet the multitude of operational service standards in a high-volume venue and diverse service offerings.
