Slacks Creek, Queensland, Australia Dantel Communications Full time $80,000 - $120,000 per year

Dantel Communications – a leading telecommunications infrastructure provider – is seeking an experienced Hauling Team Leader to join our growing team. In this hands-on role, you will lead and work alongside a crew in the field on key telco projects across South East Queensland (with some travel and away work as required). You'll be responsible for proving conduits, hauling fibre-optic cables, conducting field surveys (DCAF), and general telecommunications pit-and-pipe activities. Training can be provided to the right candidate, but an understanding of cable hauling and Telstra pit/pipe networks is highly desirable.

This opportunity is ideal for a motivated, outcome-driven individual who leads by example and has a knack for problem-solving. You will work as part of a close-knit team and sometimes independently on remote assignments. Permanent, full-time employment is offered after a trial period, so we're looking for someone ready to grow with us and commit long-term to delivering quality results on the ground.

What We Offer

  • Job Security & Pay: A permanent full-time position (after trial) with industry-leading pay rates.
  • Training & Growth: Ongoing training opportunities and career development in a supportive, growing company.
  • Variety: Work on diverse projects throughout South East QLD, including chances to travel for away jobs (with relevant allowances).
  • Team Environment: Join a friendly, experienced team that values safety, quality, and collaboration in every project.

Skills & Experience

We seek a team leader with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and relevant field experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in telecommunications or civil construction and be capable of guiding a crew to success. You should have:

  • Hands-on experience with cable hauling or similar labour-intensive field work (telecommunications industry experience highly regarded, e.g. work with Telstra, Optus, TPG, NBN, etc.).
  • Prior exposure to Telstra pit and pipe networks (desirable) and the ability to quickly learn our processes and standards.
  • Proven experience in physically demanding outdoor work – you're comfortable working outside in various conditions and are physically fit for manual tasks.
  • Some leadership or supervisory experience in field teams (ability to mentor crew members and enforce safety/quality standards on site).
  • A current and valid Australian Driver's Licence (manual transmission preferred).
  • Willingness to travel and work away from home on occasion.

Additional licences & tickets (highly advantageous but not mandatory):

  • MR/HR truck licence (medium/heavy rigid).
  • Confined space entry and gas testing accreditation.
  • Traffic management certification.
  • Current First Aid/CPR certification.

How to Apply

If you're ready to lead a field team and make an impact in the telecommunications industry, we want to hear from you Apply now via SEEK with your resume. Join Dantel Communications and play a key role in connecting communities with high-quality telecom infrastructure. We look forward to reviewing your application
