Perched eleven stories high above Brisbane's nightlife hub on Ann Street, MAYA boasts impressive 270 degree views of Fortitude Valley, the CBD and surrounding suburbs.

Taking its namesake and inspiration from the Maya region of Mexico. The menu combines overtones of Coastal Pacific, Yucatan and Sonoran influences, blending them together with the freshest Australian produce. Featuring contemporary renditions of traditional Mexican street fare, our menu is designed to be enjoyed as shared style of dining with good company and a margarita in hand.

We are looking for an experienced Bar Manager to join our vibrant team of industry professionals. Previous experience is absolutely essential along with extensive Bar and Restaurant service.

The successful candidate MUST HAVE:-

· Minimum 2 years management experience, as well as hands on high volume bar service experience

· Hands on management style

· The ability to work as a team player

· Extensive cocktail knowledge

· Key understanding of experience fusing food, beverage, music and service

· Exceptional customer service, leadership and motivational skills

· Availability to work late nights and weekends

· Administrative skills including budgeting, rostering and stock control

· Good knowledge of OLGR and industry regulations

· Security management experience

· Current RMLV certificate AND Approved Managers license (negotiable)

· Personality plus

· High attention to detail

· Ability to multi-task at a fast and efficient pace

· Team player attitude with a positive and motivated personality

The position is in a full time salaried capacity only and we are looking to fill this role in a long-term capacity.
