Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Group Bar Manager to oversee and elevate the bar operations across our premium venues in Brisbane, with the strong support and guidance of our Group Beverage Director. This is a rare opportunity for a strategic leader to drive beverage excellence, shape bar standards, and lead high-performing teams across our Brisbane venues.

As Group Bar Manager, you will work closely with the Beverage Director to deliver exceptional beverage offerings, drive customer satisfaction, and align bar operations with the broader vision of the Ghanem Group.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruit, train, and manage a high‑performing team of bar staff and sommeliers across Brisbane venues.
  • Establish and maintain supplier relationships, securing favourable terms and ensuring consistent supply quality.
  • Advise on and oversee proper beverage storage across venues to maintain product integrity.
  • Stock control, ordering, inventories, rotation, and handling returns.
  • Provide hands-on support during high‑volume periods, stepping into bar service as required.
  • Develop new beverage menus across Ghanem's nine Brisbane venues, collaborating on innovation and bringing fresh drink concepts to life. Crafting creative, compelling cocktails that elevate the guest experience and reflect the distinct personality of each space.
  • Monitor performance metrics and report regularly to Directors, providing actionable insights and recommendations.
  • Manage bar budgets, accurately forecast demand, and ensure cost-effective operations and inventory management.
  • Reward and recognise strong performance; support development and address underperformance in line with company policy.
  • Perform additional duties as needed, contributing to the broader success of the team and organization.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum two years' experience as a Group or Senior Bar Manager across multi‑venue or large-scale hospitality operations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing team to conceptualise and launch signature drink campaigns that align with venue branding and promotional strategies.
  • Proven success in team leadership, supplier management, and operational delivery.
  • Sound knowledge of QLD Licensing laws and practices including Responsible Service of Alcohol
  • Bartender Certificate IV or similar is desirable.
  • Established supplier network and solid industry knowledge.
  • Experience in setting, executing, and auditing bar service standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Hands-on bartending experience, with a focus on quality, innovation, and execution.
  • Adherence to cost and budget guidelines, ensuring appropriate forecasting of goods to meet demand without oversupply or cost blowouts
