The PR Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting and enhancing Chemist Warehouse's public image via communications strategy, media engagement and events. Working closely with the rest of the PR team, alongside the social media and influencer teams, you will coordinate media relations, assist in developing engaging events, and support campaigns that connect with our audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and execution of PR campaigns and media strategies
- Coordinate and respond to media enquiries
- Manage relationships with key Australian media
- Maintain media contact database
- Media pitching for earned media coverage across product launches, partnership announcements, key gifting periods and trend driven content
- Drafting of press releases
- Manage product send outs
- Coordination and execution of the PR Box campaign
- Coordination and execution of consumer competition terms and conditions documents and permit applications
- Assist in the development and facilitation of events and store opening activities that boost brand visibility
- Manage catalogue of PR event and stock assets within office marketing cage
- Monitor and report on media coverage and public sentiment
- Develop post campaign reporting for all events / PR campaigns
About you
- Proven experience in public relations, communications, or a related field (1+ year experience)
- A degree in marketing, communications or PR will be looked on favourably but is not essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with media and stakeholders
- Proficient in Microsoft suite
- Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and professionally
