Embroidery Machine Operator – Gold Coast (Burleigh Heads)

Join the team behind some of the Gold Coast's best-branded workwear.

We're on the lookout for an experienced, motivated, and reliable Embroidery Machine Operator to join our Gold Coast Embroidery Team based in Burleigh Heads. You'll be part of a fast-paced production environment, servicing orders from five local Totally Workwear stores.

This is a hands-on role with an immediate start available.

Tasks


• Provide assistance to the Embroidery Production Manager with tasks below:


• Unpacking garments


• Understanding and interpreting purchase orders


• Scheduling incoming jobs into Google Calendar


• Filing


• Email correspondence


• Answering incoming phone calls


• Actioning new embroidery set ups and edits


• Running stitchouts –with potential to learn heatpressing, and further embroidery practices, training will be provided to the right applicant


• Backing and trimming to assist our machinists from time to time


• Provide support to the embroidery team and leave cover for Embroidery Production Manager

MUST HAVE:


• Position has a high level of computer use, so require intermediate to advanced knowledge and experience, Google calendar, emails, PDF


• Experience with Wilcom or other embroidery editing programs would be highly valued, however training will be provided to the right applicant


• Motivated individual


• Very high attention to detail


• Can show initiative and confidence, trouble shooting skills


• Ability to work in a team and individually as required


• Reliable


• Methodical, task focused


• Excellent quality control


• Ability to work in a fast paced environment with an emphasis on deadlines and time frames


• Willingness to learn and adapt


• Can follow verbal and written instructions to a high degree


• Excellent time management and multitasking skills


• Very high attention to detail


• Previous experience in embroidery would be highly valued, however training will be provided to the right applicant
