Position Description
- Provide leadership and direction for ANZ Supply Chain and serves as the primary contact person while providing internal and external support in matters related to inventory management, 3PL warehouse operations, transportation management as well liaison for trade compliance and regulatory requirements
- Build collaborative working relationships with all internal stakeholders and external service providers with close coordination to the Global and Regional Commercial Operations, Global Operations including other functions
- Liaise with Regional Commercial Operations, Supply Chain, Customer Care, Quality, Regulatory and Service functions to deliver the business target from demand forecasting, secure the supply, order fulfilment, service level and relevant exception management
- Manage 3PL performance to ensure all orders delivered to customers according to agreed service targets including regular visits to 3PL site to ensure all the QIAGEN procedures as well as requirements are being met
- Monitor and manage the actual supply chain performance against agreed indicators to support Regional SCM KPIs in alignment with the Global SCM organization
- Actively contributes to process improvement by delivering results through problem solving and process improvement activities
- Plan and manage supply chain budget including costs control and expenditures approval
- Ensure compliance to QIAGEN operational processes and policies including conformity to established international trade regulations and procedures
- Provide direction and guidance to support staff including training and development as well as team performance
Position Requirements
- Degree educated in supply chain or logistics discipline
- Minimum 8 years' related experience working in interdisciplinary teams and global corporation preferably in the life science, biotechnology, medical device and/or regulated TGA environment is an advantage
- Strong knowledge and experience in 3PL warehouse operations management, logistics, planning, demand forecasting and inventory management with proven track record to manage an efficient daily operations
- Strong understanding and experience in cold chain management, Dangerous Goods, trade compliance and logistics of regulated products is preferred
- Ability to develop, analyse and apply data to make decisions in alignment to meet service expectations while achieving operational requirements
- Strong knowledge of internal and external operations that influence demand forecasting, inventory management, warehouse operations and transportation services
- Able to prioritize responsibilities in a multi-tasking matrix organization
- SAP knowledge and hands-on experience
