Our client is a premium Australian furniture and design house known for timeless, artful collections that blend contemporary form with storied character. They are seeking an experienced and detail-driven Supply Chain and Inventory Manager to lead the operational backbone of their fast-growing business.

About the role:

This is a pivotal opportunity to join a design-led brand at a time of rapid growth. Based in Melbourne and reporting directly to the Founder, this role will manage the full supply chain function, from global manufacturing and freight to inventory, forecasting, and systems optimisation.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and is passionate about building smart, scalable processes that drive operational excellence and support creative vision.

Key responsibilities:

Inventory, Forecasting & Planning

  • Overseeing end-to-end inventory management and accuracy across global locations
  • Demand planning and forecasting to support product availability and factory capacity
  • Managing the company's critical path and development timelines to ensure on- time delivery
  • Overseeing container planning and fulfilment

Supply Chain & Logistics

  • Leading Australian and USA based 3PL relationships, including onboarding, integrations, and performance
  • Managing all inbound and outbound logistics, including freight negotiation and route optimisation
  • Coordinating with manufacturing partners to ensure accurate forecasting and lead time alignment
  • Overseeing stock levels to support an 'always in stock' online model
  • Leading 3PL stock control, including cyclic counts, stocktakes, and reconciling variances
  • Reviewing and managing slow-moving and dead stock to optimise warehouse efficiency

Commercial Oversight & Strategy

  • Managing product costings, RRP structures, and pricing across all markets (trade, wholesale, retail)
  • Supporting cash flow management in partnership with the Founder
  • Overseeing cost and margin control, including budgeting and financial reporting
  • Monitoring and contributing to P&L outcomes through strategic supply chain decisions
  • Managing supplier relationships and contract negotiations, including bulk price negotiations

Systems & Optimisation

  • Leading operational systems strategy (CIN7, Shopify, 3PL platforms), ensuring workflows and data accuracy
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to drive cost savings and efficiency
  • Working with integration partners to enhance functionality and reporting Cross-functional Leadership
  • Running weekly cross-functional operations meetings
  • Supporting sales, marketing and product teams with allocation, discontinuation planning, and sales rep reporting
  • Leading development and implementation of fulfilment and delivery best practices
  • Driving continuous improvement culture and leading change management within the team

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • 5+ years' experience in supply chain, inventory or logistics management (preferably in retail, e-comm or product-based industries)
  • You are a natural organiser, a sharp problem-solver, and a commercially minded operations lead. You love refining systems, streamlining logistics, and ensuring that things not only run, but run beautifully.
  • Proven track record managing global inventory and 3PL relationships
  • Experience working with manufacturing partners and forecasting for production
  • High level of proficiency in inventory and ERP systems (CIN7 preferred) and e- commerce platforms (Shopify preferred)
  • Strong analytical, planning, and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Attention to detail, and pride in building systems that support creativity, growth
