The Company

  • James Bell Gardens is a successful, well established garden maintenance and landscape construction business located in Hornsby on the Upper North Shore of Sydney.
  • Maintain mostly high end residential gardens on the North Shore and in the Eastern Suburbs. We also provide construction services for existing clients.

The Candidate

  • TAFE qualified person (Horticulture or similar) or
  • Currently attending TAFE or
  • Previous experience in the industry
  • Someone with an interest in either gardening or landscaping but no experience would also be considered

The Role

  • Permanent full time position
  • Great working conditions

Your Duties

Depending on your skill set, your duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Lawn mowing and edging
  • Weeding
  • Hedging, pruning of trees & shrubs
  • Fertilising, mulching
  • Planting, laying turf
  • Pest and disease control
  • Repair and maintenance of irrigation systems

Essential

  • A keen interest in gardens and working outdoors
  • Hold a current Drivers Licence
  • Be punctual, reliable and presentable
  • Show initiative and attention to detail
  • Possess a friendly and professional attitude and be able to interact politely and with respect with your employer, fellow team members and the client
  • Able to follow instructions and be a quick learner
  • Responsible, proactive, hard working person that enjoys working both on their own and as part of a team.
