About the role

Welsford Smithers Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Horticulturist/Gardener to join our team. This full-time role is based in Pymble, NSW and will involve maintaining beautiful gardens and landscaping at local residential properties.

What you'll be doing

  • Developing and executing garden maintenance plans to keep the grounds looking their best
  • Planting, pruning, weeding, and watering to ensure the health and vibrancy of all plants and flowers
  • Operating gardening equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers to maintain gardens
  • Identifying and addressing any pests or diseases affecting the plants
  • Providing recommendations on garden and plant selection to continually improve the property's aesthetic
  • Ensuring compliance with all relevant health and safety requirements

What we're looking for

  • Formal qualification in horticulture or equivalent relevant experience
  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining high-quality gardens and landscaping
  • Strong knowledge of plant species, their care requirements, and seasonal considerations
  • Proficient in the use of common gardening tools and equipment
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional results
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • A passion for gardening and a desire to contribute to the presentation of our clients' properties
