About the Job We are a small, local grocery store that loves serving our neighborhood. We need a friendly, reliable person to help us keep the store running smoothly. This job is perfect if you enjoy being active and talking to people.
Key Tasks: Customer Service: Greet customers, answer questions, and help them find items and if required, take the shopping bags to customer cars. Stocking: Unpack deliveries, put items on shelves, and make sure everything is priced. Freshness Check: Look after our produce and refrigerated items to keep them fresh. Cleaning: Keep the store tidy, sweep floors, wipe surfaces, and break down boxes. Teamwork: Help other team members with daily tasks.
Opening/Closing of Shop: Be able to open and close store.
Cash Handling.
What We Need From You: Friendly & Positive: You must enjoy talking to people and have a good attitude. Reliable: Show up on time for all shifts, including some evenings and weekends. Ready to Work: Be able to stand for long periods and lift boxes up to 5kg-20kg. Quick Learner: Able to learn our products and systems fast. Community Focused: Want to be part of a local, supportive team. Experience: Retail or cash handling experience is a must.
Job Type: Casual
Pay: $31.00 – $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 35 per week
