The Role

Our Malanda dairy site located in tropical North Queensland, manufacturing and distributing a range of milk and milk-based products, made with fresh milk sourced direct from over 40 farms within minutes from the factory.

The site currently produces around 40 million litres of product every year - operating 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. Across Queensland, we proudly source milk from around 80 dairy farms in the south-east and far north and are passionate about supporting locally produced products.

We currently have opportunities for Permanent positions in our Processing Team at Malanda, QLD. The Operator role sits within the Processing department (control room) and ensures that milk is processed with approved procedures, quality standards, and customer specifications. During this role, you will be required to use SCADA to operate pasteurizers, testing milk products, cleaning tanks, manage milk intake in accordance with approved procedures, quality standards, and customer specifications.

Potential candidates would ideally have a background working in manufacturing, have experience in operating computers, being able to solve and undertake minor mechanical repairs or corrections competently, safely and in a timely manner. Control room experience is a plus but not required. Training will be provided for suitable candidate.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor the SCADA system to ensure efficient production processes.
• Conduct pasteurization of milk products in accordance with safety and quality standards. Perform testing and maintain accurate records of milk product quality.
• Carry out cleaning and preparation of milk systems using CIP (Clean-In-Place) procedures.
• Operate machinery with basic technical proficiency.
• Assist the Team Leader or Leading Hand with general operational tasks as required.

About you

• Proven experience in manufacturing environment (preferred)
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes
• Strong computer literacy - experience with SCADA or similar system is preferred
• Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
